YouthStart Belgium is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals aged 16 to 30 who are unemployed, not attending school, and possess at most a secondary education diploma. Through free training and coaching programs, YouthStart aims to help these youths discover their talents, build self-confidence, and create a future that truly reflects who they are. The cornerstone of YouthStart's offerings is an 8-day program designed to assist participants in defining their goals, ambitions, and passions. This program employs a unique, interactive method where participants step into the role of an entrepreneur, allowing them to uncover their strengths and potential. Conducted in small groups of up to 15 individuals, the program ensures personalized guidance and support. Upon completion, YouthStart connects participants with organizations that align with their aspirations, providing a springboard toward new opportunities. (youthstart.be ) In addition to the 8-day training, YouthStart offers the YOUTHSTART CONNECT program, a 9-day initiative spread over two months. This program combines group workshops, individual coaching, and collective sessions to help participants build their professional future. It focuses on discovering talents, defining professional plans, boosting self-confidence, enhancing CVs, and developing essential digital skills. Participants are also connected with partner organizations and resources tailored to their professional plans, whether they wish to continue studies, find employment, or start their own business. (youthstart.be ) Since its inception in 1998, YouthStart has trained over 13,000 young people across Belgium. In 2024 alone, 767 youths participated in the training programs, with 59% becoming (re)activated immediately after training and 67% (re)activated six months later. The organization boasts a team of 81 certified coaches and is supported by 80 sponsors.
