The Learning & Innovation Center (LIC) is a collaborative initiative between the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), situated at the intersection of their respective campuses in Etterbeek. Inaugurated in May 2025, the LIC is a state-of-the-art facility designed to foster collaboration and creativity within the academic communities of both universities. The LIC offers a diverse array of study spaces, meeting rooms, collaborative classrooms, and event venues, all tailored to accommodate various working and learning styles. Whether individuals seek a quiet area for focused study, a room for team brainstorming sessions, or a dynamic space to host events, the LIC provides suitable environments to meet these needs. Understanding that inspiration and productivity are not confined to traditional working hours, the LIC operates daily from 8:00 to 23:00, nearly year-round. While primarily serving the ULB and VUB communities, the LIC also welcomes visitors from outside these institutions, except during peak exam periods when access may be restricted. The mission of the LIC is to unite students, staff, researchers, companies, policymakers, and other individuals interested in connecting, creating, or discovering. It serves as a hub where ideas converge, evolve, and flourish, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration. Located on the border between the VUB and ULB campuses in Etterbeek, the LIC invites all interested parties to explore its facilities and experience the vibrant atmosphere it offers.
