Catering partners are selected based on adherence to a Sustainability Code of Conduct established in 2015, with many providing 100% organic options or holding the Ecodynamic label. The EGG employs cogeneration to improve fuel efficiency by reusing heat for power. It also collaborates with Alpaca Solutions to encourage meal donation instead of waste. The EGG implements various sustainable practices such as eliminating disposable plates, using 98% LED lighting, dual flush toilets, ecological cleaning products, motion sensors for lighting, a centralized heating/cooling system, bean-to-cup coffee machines, partnerships with certified environmental vendors, and reusable cloakroom tokens.
