Games.brussels is the regional video game association of the Brussels-Capital Region, dedicated to structuring, representing, defending, and promoting the interests of game studios in the area. Our mission is to foster the growth and development of the video game industry in our vibrant city. The Brussels game development community has a rich history, beginning with Brotaru in 2014. This monthly meet-up welcomes anyone interested in game-making, providing networking opportunities for all and serving as a starting point for video game entrepreneurs. It's also a chance to enjoy a drink with fellow game makers, so feel free to join us at the next event. We are expanding our list of events; check out our calendar to stay updated. Creating video games requires a unique set of skills, where knowledge communication is key. In an ever-evolving industry, the ability to quickly exchange and share with fellow creators makes all the difference. Our solution to this challenge is a coworking space exclusively for video game creators. By anchoring our game development community in a single space, we aim to grow it further while maximizing our residents' chances of success. Join us for our monthly meet-up dedicated to game development, creativity, and community. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting out, our events offer valuable insights and connections. We are excited to share that our proud member, Studio Tolima, a young Brussels-based studio, is making significant strides in the industry. For the Lunch & Learn of April, we welcomed Xavier de Coster from Triangle Factory. He shared his experiences and insights into the game development process. Organized by games.brussels, game:feel is a new event celebrating the craft of making video games, focusing on the sensory experiences that games provide. We are changing our Lunch & Learn formula slightly for a special event: an occasion where we delve deeper into specific aspects of game development. For this occasion, we welcomed students from the Master in Applied & Interactive Music program, providing them with a platform to showcase their work and gain feedback from industry professionals. In this edition, we welcomed Pierre Lara from St’Art Invest. He presented the various funding opportunities available for game developers in the region. Games.brussels and the Creative Europe Desks Belgium organized a special Lunch & Learn session, focusing on the Creative Europe program and how it can benefit game developers. Step into Playtest Night, an intimate gathering for indie game professionals. Bring your playable prototypes and receive valuable feedback from peers in a supportive environment.
