The Brussels Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lab (BEIL) is a research group within the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), operating under the university's Research Council. Located at Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels, Belgium, BEIL focuses on advancing knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation. BEIL's research encompasses various topics, including scaling life sciences impact in the European Union and the development of university venture capital models in Europe and North America. Notably, in May 2025, members of BEIL published a debate titled "Scaling life sciences impact in the EU — Building sustainable management and public governance capacity" in the journal Public Money & Management. Additionally, in December 2025, they contributed an article titled "University venture capital in Europe and North America: Evidence, models, and EU policy implications" to the Public Management and Governance Review.
