Kaya is the Belgian Coalition of Ecopreneurs, a non-profit organisation that brings together eco-businesses, freelancers, associations, and organisations committed to the ecological transition. It aims to strengthen eco-businesses and the regenerative economy so that they can become the benchmark model, while helping to make the economy compatible with planetary boundaries and social standards. Kaya represents the voice of ecopreneurs in Belgium and, through Ecopreneur Europe, at the European level. The organisation supports a collective of pioneering businesses that develop positive-impact products and services, operate with sustainable processes, and place social and environmental innovation at the heart of their business model. It encourages networking, mutual support, exchange of experiences, and collaboration, while also amplifying the voice of ecopreneurs toward decision-makers, public institutions, academics, associations, and NGOs. Kaya’s activities include: advocacy and policy proposals for a just ecological redirection of the economy; events and collaborative activities that help members share best practices and build connections; media visibility for ecopreneurs and their initiatives; work on themes such as circular economy, sustainable finance, and a stronger legal framework for mission-driven companies; interviews and storytelling through “Parole d’écopreneur,” highlighting inspiring entrepreneurial journeys and concrete solutions. In June 2022, Kaya and Ecopreneur Belgium merged into a single association to broaden mobilisation and strengthen advocacy for different forms of entrepreneurship. Kaya is supported by the Brussels-Capital Region and the Walloon Region, and it is based in Brussels. Contact information: Address: Rue Fernand Bernier 15, 1060 Brussels Email: [email protected]
