Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes (EEIP) is a not-for-profit European energy policy platform dedicated to promoting efficient energy use in industry. By facilitating informed discussions and the exchange of best practices, EEIP engages a diverse array of organizations to accelerate the energy transition. As a free, neutral, and open business and policy platform, EEIP supports the growth of energy efficiency markets by communicating, engaging, and sharing business practices. At its core, EEIP operates on the belief that the energy transition requires not only technical solutions but also sound business cases. Market growth can be accelerated through the exchange of information and best practices. The EEIP network comprises users from organizations of all sizes—from SMEs to multinationals—and spans various sectors, including technology and service providers, finance, IT, consultancies, cities, and policy. This comprehensive representation covers the entire value chain, encompassing both supply and demand sides. Launched at the European Commission in April 2011, EEIP is structured as a not-for-profit organization to facilitate open and inclusive dialogue among market participants and between these participants and EU policymakers. The organization finances its operations through platform services such as content marketing and externally funded projects. As a decentralized platform, EEIP allows individuals to connect in various ways, including through its website, social media channels, newsletters, magazines, conferences, and webinars. As of July 2019, EEIP boasts a network of 140,000 users.
