BeCode, established in 2017 and headquartered in Brussels, is a Belgian coding school dedicated to providing free IT training accessible to all individuals demonstrating logical aptitude and motivation. The organization emphasizes diversity and inclusion within the tech industry, striving to cultivate the next generation of tech talent. At BeCode, we make tech trainings accessible to all. We support, advise, and train job seekers to become the tech talent of tomorrow and help companies to reskill or upskill their teams or hire our talents. Our pedagogical approach is centered on active learning methodologies, encouraging learners to engage in hands-on projects both individually and collaboratively. This environment mirrors real-world professional settings, fostering autonomy and problem-solving skills among participants. (becode.org ) One of our notable initiatives is the Hackeuses Club, a six-week pre-training program exclusively for women. This program aims to introduce participants to various digital professions and empower them to launch their own projects, addressing the gender imbalance in the tech industry and providing women with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in technology. For instance, the Femme Forward program was designed as an optional module for learners enrolled in our AI and Web Development bootcamps. This initiative aimed to introduce participants to cloud computing, equipping them with foundational knowledge and enhancing their employability in the IT industry. By integrating cloud education into broader IT training, we provided learners with complementary skills that prepare them for careers in the tech sector. Additionally, by the end of the course, 33 participants had begun internships, marking a significant step toward their career development.
