BeCode

BeCode.org is a Belgian coding school founded in 2017 and based in Brussels, offering free IT training to anyone demonstrating logic and motivation. The school focuses on diversity and inclusion in tech to help individuals develop into the tech talent of tomorrow. One of its initiatives, the Femme Forward program, supplements AI and Web Development bootcamps by introducing participants to cloud computing and enhancing their employability. By the end of the course, 33 participants secured internships, indicating positive career progression. The program's content was developed in collaboration with AWS and Simplon.co, emphasizing theoretical foundations for cloud environments while adopting active learning and project-based methodologies for engagement. AWS provided insights into the certification process, while Simplon.co shared strategies for effective learning. BeCode also implemented a targeted student sourcing methodology for female trainees and engaged with partners to enhance the learning experience. The AWS Cloud Practitioner Training Program has been beneficial, contributing to participants gaining critical cloud computing skills, certifications, and stronger community engagement. BeCode is committed to making tech training accessible to all, supporting job seekers in becoming tech talent, and assisting companies with reskilling and upskilling efforts. The organization fosters a robust community of talents and companies eager to thrive in the tech sector, encouraging ongoing participation and updates on activities, training, and events.
