Volta is the joint sector organization serving companies and employees within the Joint Subcommittee 149.01 in Belgium. Governed by social partners—including federations such as Eloya, FEE, Nelectra, and Techlink, alongside unions like ABVV-Metaal, ACV-CSC Metea, and MWB-FGTB—Volta operates under the banner "Kruispunt van Elektrotechniek" (Crossroads of Electrotechnics). Collectively, Volta supports approximately 5,700 enterprises, encompassing around 56,000 workers across the nation. (volta-org.be ) Volta's mission is to bolster its partners through a range of services, including training programs, advisory support, strategic research, informational sessions, and the administration of supplementary compensations. The organization is structured into two legal entities: Volta vzw and Volta fbz. Notably, on March 17, 2014, Volta vzw was recognized by the Federal Minister of Economy as an "equivalent Collective Center for the electrical installation sector." This includes both e-learning and in-person training, as well as updates on technological developments and regulations. Volta also assists employers with various compensations, such as providing premiums for employee training.
